This workshop is dedicated to those seeking to optimize their body's functionality and embrace a transformative journey towards physical harmony.

Join us for a 16-hour intensive workshop that delves into the core principles and techniques of Adaptive Bodywork. This floor-based workshop is designed to introduce you to the foundational elements of Structural Integration, emphasizing hands-on, fascial-release methods that are crucial for restoring alignment and enhancing bodily function.

Throughout this workshop, you will engage in both theoretical and practical learning, exploring the key principles that underpin Structural Integration. You'll gain insights into the goals and sequencing of our unique approach, focusing on the effective application of fascial-release techniques that are pivotal for alignment and balance.

Key Highlights of the AB1 Workshop:

  • Opportunity to understand and apply session sequencing and goals, tailored to the individual unfolding process within the body.

Special Instructions

Greetings Everyone, I’m looking forward to seeing you all on the morning of Saturday Sept 21st, 2024 between 8:00 and 8:30 for the AB1 certification workshop.

Dress: Please dress in comfortable clothing that will allow comfortable movement.

Food: Please take advantage of the numerous local eateries during our breaks, as on-site amenities like a fridge, microwave, may not be available at X-Fit Saint-Laurent.

Lunch: There will be two 15 minute breaks and 1 hour for lunch during the work day which will begin at 8:30 and conclude at 18:30

Feet: We will be using our feet so make sure they are clean and odor free. As we will be using our feet extensively during this workshop I suggest that you treat yourself to a pedicure, you and your fellow practitioners won't regret it.

Four classes of low-threshold cutaneous mechanoreceptors innervate the glabrous skin on the sole of the foot. Each class is uniquely sensitive to deformation and motion of the skin and transmits tactile and proprioceptive feedback through sensory afferents to the central nervous system (CNS) that guides our work as Adaptive Bodywork practitioners. These are precious tools. Please treat them as such. This all impoprtant sensory feedback will inform you of the appropriate shear and pressure during the application of techniques while keeping you safely in balnce.

Photography: We may photograph some of the days action. Keep this in mind when selecting your bodywork wardrobe.

Parking: Parking in the area is on the street.

Be sure to get to bed early so that we can start the morning bright and early with a full tank of energy.

Please call if you have any further questions
